What Does Beauty Mean to You?

 Hello Gorgeous!

The definition of beauty according to Merriam-Webster: “the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit”

Beauty means something different to each of us, but I believe that true beauty is health! I believe beauty begins on the inside where it is rooted.

When our body is thriving, we exude a vibrancy that is contagious and infectious. It creates a distinct and remarkable attractiveness to our souls. Beauty is the moments when we feel free from any health concerns. It’s the moments we feel energized and alive. It’s the moments when our mind is calm and happy. It’s the moments when we feel a complete balance of our mind, body and spirit.”  Food Matters TV

When do you feel your most beautiful?

As we reflect back to a time when we were at our healthiest, what made us feel beautiful? Was it the outfit we were wearing, the flawless look of our makeup, or the perfected hairstyle we flaunted? Feeling true beauty comes from within. It shines through the sweat when we are working out, the feeling you get when you nourish yourself with a nutrient-dense meal, the beauty that comes through mindful acts of self-care like meditation and internal healing.

If you’re new to finding true beauty naturally, then you have come to the right place.

Food Love Heal created FLH Solutions to bring you just that… solutions to achieving and maintaining your best life and a huge part of living a heathy lifestyle includes clean beauty and skincare products. But it is not just about the products I offer; it is about finding balance in your life and that balance will bring out your true beauty from the inside-out. It’s about self-care. It goes beyond the mani-pedis and the spa days. It is about real nourishment. Nourishing your mind, body, and spirit. That is where true beauty comes from.

Much like you, I strive to find ways to be healthy. Eating mostly plants, daily physical activity, mindfulness, daily gratitude, and I am always learning about new and better ways to maintain my health. I try to do everything right, but one thing we may all be guilty of is choosing skincare and beauty products that are really toxic without giving much thought to the harmful health effects that chemical-based and synthetic ingredients can have on us.

But there is a way to look and feel your best without all the harmful ingredients getting absorbed into your skin. I am talking about ingredients like the following:

  • Benzalkonium chloride
  • BHA and BHT
  • Coal tar Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)
  • Ethanolamines (MEA/DEA/TEA)
  • Formaldehyde
  • Hydroquinone
  • Methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone
  • Oxybenzone
  • Parabens (methyl-, isobutyl-, proply- and others)
  • Phthalates
  • Polyethylene glycol (PEG compounds.)
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate and Sodium laureth sulfate (SLS and SLES)
  • Synthetic flavor, colors, and fragrance
  • Toluene
  • Triclosan and Triclocarban

Can you even pronounce these ingredients?? FLH Solutions is being built on the belief that if you give your body what it needs, it will give you what you want. What do we all want? We want energy! Energy to be vibrant, energy to move freely, energy to be there for those we love, energy to be our absolute best and we all want to not only feel, but BE beautiful. I am doing the hard work for you; I am searching and partnering with brands that have the same values and mission that I do when it comes to our health and the health of our planet. The brands I offer are truly natural, clean and pure. They are backed by several independent health and environmental agencies that make our health their priority. One thing you will never find at FLH Solutions is toxic products. I follow the same strict standards as the agencies I have come to trust. Slow Beauty Movement

Healthline (04/2020)

What is slow beauty and why do we believe in it?

Slow beauty is the opposite of the “quick fix”. Slow beauty refers to getting to the roots of where real beauty exists. Beauty really does start from the inside-out. The slow beauty movement is kind of like being an activist for clean and pure skincare and self-care products. We don’t allow harmful chemicals and toxins that can harm our health in our makeup, skincare, or other self-care products and this rule also applies to manufacturing and processing practices.

Sure, some of these toxic chemicals and lab-made synthetic ingredients offer the “quick fix” to some of our beauty needs, but you are exposing your skin to toxins such as artificial colors, fragrances, and heavy metals, not to mention synthetic preservatives that prolong shelf-life. These chemicals can cause health issues from allergies and hormone disruption to infertility and cancers. You need to decide what is important to you. Do you go for the quick fix method and increase your health risks or do you take your time and really take care of yourself? In the end, the better you care for yourself, the better you can care for others and the better your quality of life is.

What Is Skin Mapping?

Christine Wood
Skin mapping is a very specific technique, but it all comes down to balancing your baseline health, improving your immunity, pinpointing sensitivities, and discovering the approach that truly works for you, not against you. No two people are the same, and every individual will require a different protocol for optimal health, both inside and out.
